Yesterday afternoon I stood in front of a group of industry peers and I felt as if an exodus of locust lodged themselves in my throat. I felt as if the vibration in my voice could be felt throughout the ballroom of the Double Tree Hotel in Santa Ana, and at a moment's notice an insect would pop right out of my mouth. Pull it TOGETHER, woman! Really…I was THAT nervous.

This past year has been absolutely amazing in allowing me to present to groups, and yesterday was no exception. I was invited to speak to OC Association of Bridal Consultants about the importance of blogging in business. It was a great afternoon and I was honored to share the stage with Julie Hill of Elysium Productions, who spoke about the importance of video implementation in your website and blog. It was awesome because we both use Showit for our websites, so it was easy to discuss the integration of video and how dynamic is makes your web presence.

I couldn't shake the nerves until I saw JD sneak into the ballroom half-way through the presentation. Once I saw his little head floating in the background with his camera, I breathed a sigh of relief and felt the plague of locust dissipate. Here are a few of his photos…and for a little photo geek talk, all the photos were shot at f/2.8 at 6400 iso…the Canon 5D Mark II has the most incredible files…ever!!

I sincerely appreciated being able to present to such an esteemed group of peers and I know the future is bright for the wedding industry in Orange County!
